About us
Attavik transforms smartphones into communication hubs using proprietary mesh networking technology. Each device can communicate directly with others within 6-8 km range, creating self-scaling networks without infrastructure.
Our technology works with standard iOS and Android smartphones through our app, combined with our Range Extender Device (RED) for extended coverage.
All communications use military-grade encryption with proprietary router authentication. The mesh network provides additional security through distributed architecture.
At this stage of development the integration with ATAK and other platforms hasn’t been tested yet.
Attavik does not store data on the device offline. Data in transit is always end-to-end encrypted using strong encryption protocols. Data at rest is not stored locally on the device when offline. When online, minimal operational data (e.g. logs or metadata) may be temporarily stored, but it is encrypted and automatically deleted after a short retention period to protect user privacy.
Attavik operates between each other without a central server and can make 2-way voice without the conversation being heard by others, as happens with traditional radio systems.
Networks can be established in minutes. Simply activate the AttavikAttavik app and deploy RED units as needed for extended range.
Each unit provides 6-8 km range. The mesh network extends coverage as more units join, creating scalable communication zones.
Yes, Attavik is designed for infrastructure-free operation. It works in remote areas, contested environments, or when traditional communications fail.
The current battery life of the Range Extender Device (RED) units is approximately 8 hours under typical use. Battery life can be extended through optimisation – with reasonable development effort, we expect to reach 12–16 hours depending on usage patterns and power-saving configurations.
Each mesh network can support up to 50–100 devices per cluster under optimal conditions. The system is self-scaling, meaning multiple RED units can be added to extend range and capacity dynamically. It multiplies itself and it finds the fastest way. While there's no theoretical hard limit, performance depends on topology, traffic load and environment.
The Wi-Fi signal depends on reflection from bad weather. In bad weather (e.g. heavy rain, snow, or fog), Wi-Fi signal strength and stability can be slightly reduced due to signal absorption and scattering. However, Attavik’s mesh system is designed to dynamically reroute data via the most stable path, maintaining communication even under challenging conditions.
No specific training is required to use the Attavik solution. The Attavik app is downloaded, you scan the barcode on the Attavik wifi device (RED) and you are good to go.
Yes, the system will find the path with the best signal.
Network reconfiguration happens automatically and within seconds if nodes are moved, compromised, or go offline — no internet access is required. The mesh system self-heals by rerouting traffic through available nodes, ensuring continued communication with minimal disruption.
Yes, it can be customized. It is possible to have your own network.
We serve defense forces, emergency responders, law enforcement, and humanitarian organizations requiring secure communications in challenging environments.
Attavik is the first mobile, low-cost alternative that transforms standard smartphones into tactical communication hubs, offering superior mobility and deployability.
We are working toward NATO certification as part of our roadmap.
Yes. Depending on your requirements, we can identify, screen and support the hiring of key personnel (GM, sales and operations) and ensure a smooth onboarding process, including contracts, compliance and cultural integration.
Post launch, you run the business and we step back, unless you request continued advisory support. However, we can support your Chinese operations to help you find the best way forward.
Yes. During the onboarding process, we activate our partner network and connect you with relevant investors, distributors and ecosystem players.
You provide strategic direction and intellectual property. We help you set up local execution, but you remain closely involved in decision-making, particularly regarding branding, pricing and team leadership.
Through clear governance, shared KPIs, regular updates and relationship building. Trust is built through human connection, transparency, and shared milestones.
Shaeps is a hands-on partner for companies looking to establish a genuine presence in China. We guide you from initial contact through to a full commercial launch, focusing on local partnerships and sustainable market entry.
We execute. We qualify partners, co-create business plans, establish legal entities and onboard teams on the ground. Our goal is to be recognised for our placement power — our ability to find the partners, funds and other assets required for a successful launch. We only succeed when you’re up and running in China.
We work with ambitious SMEs that require a lean, fast and resource-efficient entry into the Chinese market. Our value proposition is targeted at SMEs, so large corporations will probably select a different approach.
We generally work with technology and lifestyle companies, including our own Nordic lifestyle concept store, ‘ileeli’, for affluent Chinese consumers. However, we are largely industry-agnostic. We look for companies with distinctive intellectual property that sets them apart from their competitors. To see examples of the types of businesses we typically work with, please refer to our industry examples.
We work fluently in English, Chinese (Mandarin) and Danish, with seamless translation built into every phase of the process. There is no loss of meaning or cultural gaps.
We work on a no cure, no pay basis and we don't ask for upfront payment. You only pay when we deliver your Chinese company, ready to operate. By then, we will have acquired a stake in your Chinese entity.
Costs vary depending on the scope. Usually, we ask you to cover the company formation costs (capped at RMB 40,000) and your travel expenses up to launch. Needless to say, cash requirements may vary depending on your specific case, but we will provide you with a clear estimate once we have a better understanding of your needs.
Currently, we work with companies from most of the European regions.
Our core focus is mainland China, where the real scale and opportunity lie. We don't currently offer a full service in Hong Kong, Taiwan or the ASEAN region.
